It is an upgraded version of the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) and covers all States and UTs.
It also covers traditional rural local bodies in areas where Panchayats under Part IX of the Constitution do not exist.
About 32 lakh elected representatives and functionaries across more than 2.55 lakh Panchayats/traditional bodies will benefit.
